The region is home to some of the nations’ most successful companies like Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Ralston Purina, and Anheuser-Busch.

But, most people do not think offly-over country as a the new Silicon Valley. That attitude is changing according to an article in Forbes magazine. The region seems to be going through an entrepreneurial sea change and the world is starting to take notice.

Startups are forming in business incubators like T-RexLab 1500, and the STL Venturework. According to Forbes, Arch Grants is helping to change the business climate in the region with their grant program for new businesses.

The organization gives $50,000 to promising startups.

The result is new businesses are forming in a city traditionally known for business as usual.
